PETER Gentle says those suggesting Hull FC have an ideal chance to beat a weakened Warrington are dismissing his own side's absentees.
The Hull coach was quick to shoot down suggestions the Black and Whites will find their task easier tomorrow as four high-profile players will be missing for the Wolves.
Without the vastly experienced Adrian Morley (bicep), Ben Harrison (hernia) and Lee Briers (neck) because of injury, and with Ben Westwood serving a one-match suspension, Tony Smith's side are without some of their star players.
Hull, however, are themselves without England internationals Gareth Ellis and Danny Tickle, as well as Liam Watts and Jason Crookes.
"They are missing some players, but we are also missing Danny, Gareth, Liam and Jason, while Joe Arundel is finding his feet at York," explained Gentle.
"I'd like to think they'd be looking at us and who we have out and are targeting us because we are under strength.
"You only have to look at the fact they haven't recruited anyone in the off-season to see they are happy with the depth of their squad, and when you can bring in Stefan Ratchford for Lee Briers it shows that.
"We won't worry too much about who is playing and who isn't for them, we have to worry about ourselves and how we perform."
Despite missing four of their senior players, Warrington will arrive in Hull as favourites to win at the KC Stadium.
The Wolves are one of only two unbeaten teams left in Super League and pose arguably the toughest test so far for Hull.
Gentle says the focus for his side remains on progression of performances, but he admits it would be good to get a major scalp under their belt early in the campaign having come close to victory at St Helens last week.
"Last week we bombed half a dozen genuine chances against St Helens, but the up side is we are creating those opportunities. We need to tidy a few things up and make the most of those opportunities," added Gentle.
"As long as we continue to progress as we have the last three weeks, I'll be happy. It would be nice to get a scalp like Warrington, they are a very good team, but we have a good chance."
