LITTLE Charlie Stone has paid a moving tribute to his "beautiful mummy" killed minutes after dropping him off at his school gates.
Jennie Stone, 28, was the sister of Private Gregg Stone, 20, who was shot dead by Taliban fighters on a mission in Afghanistan last June.
Jennie had been overtaking a truck at Fraisthorpe minutes after taking her son Charlie, nine, to Skipsea Primary School.
Her Peugeot 206 hit another car, before striking a tree on the A165 Hull to Bridlington Road, at 9.15am on Monday.
Charlie, who is being consoled by his mother's partner Dave Parker and her parents Bob and Angie, has led the tributes to his mum.
He said: "My beautiful mummy was the very best mum in the world and no one will ever replace her.
"She always made me laugh, especially on a morning with her big smile and silly dancing.
"Me and Dave are going to help each other get happy again and make mummy proud. I love you so much, Mummy."
Just 24 hours before the latest family tragedy, Jennie, along with her partner of eight years Dave and Charlie, moved into a new home in Bridlington.
Dave said: "Jen was my soulmate. She made me laugh and she completed my life. I love her so much and I feel half of me is missing now.
"Me and Charlie will keep going and support each other with lots of help from Jen's family and my daughter Danielle. I will love my Jen forever."
Student Jennie had expected to qualify as a social worker this autumn.
This weekend, the Stone family were meant to have travelled to Catterick in North Yorkshire, where Jennie's youngest brother, Kallum, 19, was supposed to be in the second week of basic training.
Instead, Kallum – hoping to join his brother's old unit, 3rd Battalion, The Yorkshire Regiment– has returned to their parents' home in the village of Atwick, near Hornsea.
Jennie is also survived by sister Rosie-Ann, 20, Graeme, 30, and Jamie, 32.
Bob and Angie say her funeral will, provisionally, be held on Friday, March 1, at Hornsea's St Nicholas Church, where they bid farewell to her brother eight months ago.
Gregg, who was on only his first deployment, was killed in the Nahr-e Saraj district of Helmand province while rescuing a senior Afghan policeman who had been kidnapped by enemy insurgents.
