Hull City will only be allowed to take 1,500 supporters to Huddersfield on March 30 after the game was selected to be shown live on Sky Sports. West Yorkshire Police issued restrictions after the kick-off was moved to 5.20pm. Fans will only be permitted to travel under the club's official Tiger Travel transport scheme. In a statement on its website, Hull City said "every opportunity" to negotiate a better deal for fans had been taken. "West Yorkshire Police had originally only allocated 1,000 tickets for Tigers fans, and had only made those 1,000 tickets available exclusively to season card holders," the club said. "Club officials then met with representatives of West Yorkshire Police, the Football League and Huddersfield Town last week in an attempt to move away from the restrictions imposed. "Whilst West Yorkshire Police have allocated an extra 500 tickets for Hull City supporters and extended those being able to purchase tickets from just season card holders to the club's database, they have refused to alter their stance on travel arrangements meaning that all Hull City supporters must travel on the official Tiger Travel coaches. "The club has therefore moved to subsidise the cost of the journey by reducing each supporter's Tiger Travel ticket to just £10 each." Tigers fans took to Twitter to criticise the move. Fanzine 3 O'Clock at Kempton tweeted: "Does ANY [Huddersfield] or [Hull City] fan really regard the other as big rivals? Why are police putting the match on lockdown as if we're sworn enemies?"Original Lambretta Man tweeted: "Unnecessary, heavy handed nonsense, I've got a hotel booked in Manchester that night, I can't go to the game now." City fan Tom Gooch said: "I live in Huddersfield, so have to come to Hull to go back to a game 10 minutes from my house. Ridiculous!"• The home match with Watford, originally scheduled for Monday, April 1, has been moved to Tuesday, April 2, kick-off 7.45pm.
