From City's point of view, they haven't spent a fortune on them and if they do well, it should help them secure promotion. If it doesn't work out, City have not lost a fortune.
It's perhaps no surprise that City have recruited from Egypt given the Allams connection.
Having Egyptian owners and Elmohamady around will help the loan men settle into Hull a lot easier than if they were arriving in the city on their own.
City will bend over backwards to make sure they fit in quickly.
The welcome will certainly be warmer for them than it will be for West Brom striker Peter Odemwingie, who had a nightmare on transfer deadline day.
Driving all the way to QPR to talk about a transfer without West Brom's permission is the best way to get your fans to turn against you.
I don't think there is a way back for Odemwingie after that and with 18 months still left on his current deal, it will be interesting to see how West Brom deal with the player.
The other interesting aspect of deadline day was the collapse of George Boyd's proposed move from Peterborough to Nottingham Forest because of an eye test.
The lad has been scoring goals for fun so there can't be much wrong with his eyes. It goes to show how football now is a business and everything has to be perfect.
